WELCOME TO MAUI!
Ever since I was a little boy, it was a dream of mine to travel to Hawaii, and finally after 20 years, it happened – and the experience was nothing short of magical. Joey, Hope and myself decided to take some time from our schedules and hop off the grid for a bit to have our own spring break. Here’s part one of our trip! I hope you love it, and make sure to like & comment if you would like a part two!
After an incredibly comfortable ride on Hawaiian Airlines, we were greeted in Maui by a beautiful double-rainbow as we drove to our first stop in Maui, The Ritz Carlton Kapalua Bay.
Time for a sip! Before checking in, we dropped off our bags and headed to this little oceanside bar at the Ritz called “The Beach House” – we grabbed a few pina coladas, and let our toes hit the sand.
I felt right at home, and I can’t even describe how nice it was to be away from crazy Los Angeles with the people I love most, it was nice to just breathe and relax for once, without having to deal with any other stresses.
When arrived to our rooms to a yummy lunch waiting, prepared by the kitchen, they must have known that the way to my heart is food cause I devoured the fresh pineapple and sandwich in seconds!
That view tho! Our rooms were so comfortable and the vibe of the Ritz Carlton was so down to earth and kind and the staff was so amazing and welcoming, it really made our arrival seem like a dream. We all decided to take a nap after a long day of traveling – which ended up lasting all night, waking up the next morning. Oops!
The next morning after breakfast, we decided to start our adventure and head out to Twin Falls, which is about an hour from Kapalua. Twin Falls is known for its incredible waterfalls and beautiful day hikes, so naturally, we took that top off the Jeep and blasted some local tunes and were on our way.
We got to Twin Falls and bumped into this roadside fruit stand which had THE most amazing fresh smoothies, fruits and homemade banana breads (I ate an entire loaf on the spot).
Hope decided that we needed flower crowns, so she made me this gorgeous little cutie and we had an impromptu photoshoot in the middle of the jungle!
Water boy! A fun fact about me, I was actually born in the water, and my first word was “apă” which means “water” in Romanian. Whether hiking near a lake, or sailing on the ocean, I’ve always feel the need to be the first person to jump into water, and of course, I was first again. After a short hike to the falls, we reached these rapids, there was a storm the day before so unfortunately I couldn’t jump off the cliff like the locals usually do on hot afternoons.
I capped my experience off at Twin Falls with a fresh baby coconut, it was so refreshing but honestly, let be real, I bought it for the photo opp…CUTE!
Our first stop in Maui was beyond perfect, we really got to just enjoy each others company and bond even more. A very special thanks to the Ritz Carlton Kapalua for our beautiful stay, it was everything we could have hoped for.
